About the role#
This role provides trade support to Commodities trading desks, including Oil and Gas, Base and Precious Metals, Power, Index, Agriculture, and Carbon. You will work within the Capital Markets COO Group to ensure the accurate processing of OTC, exchange-traded derivatives, and physical trades on the Openlink system. The position involves managing trade lifecycles, maintaining system data, and ensuring that daily operational processes run smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Perform trade validation, reconciliation, and verification for commodities derivatives and physical trades.
- Monitor trade capture errors, identify underlying causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage intraday and end-of-day processes to support downstream feeds and risk reporting.
- Generate intraday flash trading PnL and prepare various daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Load curves and prices, including MTM, settlement, and volatility data.
- Execute daily trade resets and fixings.
- Perform daily compliance checks for Dodd Frank, EMIR, and CSA reporting.
- Develop technology tools, such as VBA macros, to assist with system troubleshooting and process support.
- Assist senior staff with new product setup, testing, and the maintenance of operational procedures.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate existing processes.
- Liaise with Front Office and cross-functional teams to resolve trade breaks and address operational queries.

- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Strong academic performance.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High degree of accuracy in daily tasks.
- Sound technical skills and a willingness to learn new systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
