About the role#
This is a part-time System Engineering Co-op position within the Raytheon Cooperative Education Program. You will contribute to RF communications and antenna system design projects. This role is remote, though you may need to travel to the Aurora, Colorado site as required. Upon selection, you will be sponsored for a U.S. government security clearance, which you must maintain throughout the program. Successful completion of this co-op may lead to consideration for a full-time role in Aurora, Colorado after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning and execution of analysis, integration, and verification activities.
- Troubleshoot hardware and test activities in labs or OPS environments.
- Perform failure data analysis, including root cause identification and corrective action processes.
- Compile detailed performance evaluations and prepare reports or briefings for stakeholders.
- Maintain engineering specifications, drawings, and databases.
- Coordinate technical solutions with engineering teams and participate in regular working group meetings.
- Support mockup hardware, sustainment, and depot repair tasks.
- Assist with RF hardware engineering and systems integration and testing across the product lifecycle.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering with an expected graduation date of May 2027 or August 2027.
- Hands-on experience testing electronic equipment, either through academics, internships, or personal projects.
- Experience troubleshooting electronics using tools like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, or signal generators.
- Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as MATLAB.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Ansys HFSS, or Python.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
