About the role#
Voltair is looking for an Electrical Engineering intern to support our hardware development. You will work in our San Francisco lab to help build and refine the systems that power our drone network. This is a hands-on position requiring 10 to 20 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Assemble and prototype wiring harnesses.
- Assist with PCB bring-up and circuit design.
- Work directly with the Faraday-1 drone platform.
- Maintain and support Lighthouse ground stations.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to build our technology.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior at a Bay Area university in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience soldering PCBs and wiring harness connectors.
- Familiarity with circuit debugging and lab equipment like oscilloscopes and function generators.
- High attention to detail, as you will work on flight-critical systems.
- Preferred: Experience with drones or RC aircraft, an FAA Part 107 license, previous internship experience, or familiarity with Ardupilot.
