About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site Structural Engineering Co-op position based in Jamestown, North Dakota. You will work with a team of stress engineers to support new product development and certification. This role spans the Winter and Summer 2027 terms, requiring a full-time commitment from January through July or August. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Perform structural analysis using classical methods and finite element analysis.
- Demonstrate the structural integrity of cargo handling system products.
- Help generate component applied loads and aircraft interface loads.
- Create structural analysis documentation to support product certification.
- Assist with structural testing for product certification.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program for Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering.
- At least 60 hours of completed coursework by the start of the internship.
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, Autodesk, or Catia.
- Coursework in Statics and Mechanics of Materials.
- Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis, specifically ANSYS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
