About the role#
This is a full-time Structural Engineering internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Jamestown, North Dakota. This position requires U.S. citizenship to access program information.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a team of stress engineers on new product development and certification.
- Perform basic structural analysis using classical methods and finite element analysis.
- Demonstrate the structural integrity of cargo handling system products.
- Help generate component applied loads and aircraft interface loads.
- Create structural analysis documentation for product certification.
- Assist with structural testing processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree program for Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM major.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience gained through coursework, research, or previous projects.
- Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis, preferably ANSYS.
- Experience with CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, Catia, Creo, or Fusion 360.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams.
