About the role#
We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We offer immigration sponsorship for this role if needed.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, development, integration, and testing of embedded software.
- Prepare software builds for execution in simulation environments, on reference platforms, and on target hardware.
- Work on projects to improve development environments, lab testing infrastructure, and internal processes.
- Collaborate with team members to solve technical problems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Coding experience in C, C++, and Python.
- Ability to remain enrolled through the completion of the internship.
We prefer candidates who have:
- Prior engineering internship or co-op experience.
- Experience with embedded software development in a Linux environment.
- Exposure to networking and network security concepts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
