About the role#
Amca is hiring software engineering interns to build systems that turn decades of engineering knowledge into structured, usable data. You will work on real production problems alongside engineers and factory teams. Your work directly influences how quickly hardware is designed, built, and shipped.
What you'll do#
- Build pipelines to ingest, digitize, label, and structure technical drawings, CAD files, and engineering documentation.
- Develop internal tools to speed up engineering and manufacturing workflows.
- Design and ship features from backend services and data storage to front-end interfaces.
- Work with production teams to identify bottlenecks and turn them into software solutions.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing systems.
- Write clean, tested, and documented code while participating in code reviews.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer or software engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
- A solid grasp of algorithms and data structures with the ability to apply them to large-scale, messy problems.
- Familiarity with storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- Ability to learn new tools quickly, take ownership of your work, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teammates.
- This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.
