About the role#
Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is part of the Raytheon Fellowship Program and is based on-site in Aurora, Colorado. You will join an Agile software development team focused on satellite ground systems and related aerospace technologies.
What you'll do#
- Develop software for satellite ground systems.
- Research and implement advanced software technologies.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and development teams.
- Implement AI/ML processing tools and develop software algorithms.
- Model complex satellite systems and simulate them to understand mission performance.
- Perform system trade studies to improve software efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an applicable discipline.
- Actively enrolled through the completion of the internship.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience developing object-oriented software using Java.
- Foundational knowledge of data structures.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance.
