About the role#
Raytheon Technologies is hiring a Software Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, paid position is based on-site in El Segundo, California. You will join a team focused on developing real-time embedded software for Gen 4 Tactical Airborne Radar programs.
What you'll do#
- Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to engineering tasks.
- Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.
- Analyze technical problems and provide solutions.
- Participate in the development of real-time embedded software.
- Drive progress toward meeting technical goals.
- Communicate with team members and leaders across multiple disciplines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program, with at least 60 credit hours completed by the start of the internship.
- A solid academic background in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Experience developing software using C, C++, Python, Ada, or related tools.
- Knowledge of real-time embedded software development.
- U.S. citizenship is required to be eligible for a security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
We prefer candidates with experience in hardware and software integration, Radar technology, or software development life-cycle processes. Familiarity with Agile and Continuous Integration methodologies is also a plus.
