About the role#
Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Software Engineering Co-op to join the Boeing Programs Displays team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role focuses on the development of real-time embedded software for commercial airline avionics and cockpit display systems. You will work in a full-time capacity for a session spanning Summer and Fall 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of flight-critical embedded software.
- Contribute to cross-functional engineering teams during the development and verification of real-time software.
- Assist with requirements specification, software implementation, test case development, and verification test execution.
- Work with both desktop computers in an office setting and target hardware within an engineering lab.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Advanced degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the co-op.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Programming experience in C, C++, or Python.
- Interest in embedded software solutions and board-level device drivers.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Prior experience through internships, co-ops, or other work.

- The role is strictly on-site.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
