About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Software Development Internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, focusing on the design and maintenance of software for complex aerospace and defense systems. This role requires U.S. citizenship, as you must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
- Ensure system integration and scalability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code to improve performance.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience with C++, C, Java, Python, or Ada.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software development life cycle processes.
- Ability to produce technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn new tools.
- Experience working in a team-based development environment.
