About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within Raytheon Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality. You will gain exposure to leadership while learning how to drive quality performance and implement continuous improvement methodologies. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Participate in root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventative action solutions.
- Analyze and interpret data trends.
- Ensure compliance with Raytheon and contract program requirements.
- Interface with the supplier base to resolve open issues.
- Review and disposition nonconformances and nonconforming material.
- Coordinate with customers and the DCMA to ensure compliance and resolve reported issues.
- Review major deliverables and test results to ensure contract compliance before delivery.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related STEM field.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience or education with Quality and Mission Assurance processes and tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, with an active and existing secret clearance required after day one.
- A 3.0 cumulative GPA is preferred.
- Experience with continuous improvement processes, such as Six Sigma or Lean Methodologies, is preferred.
