About the role#
This summer 2027 internship provides exposure to Raytheon Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality. You will work in a results-based culture focused on continuous improvement and the defense industry. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Andover, Massachusetts.
What you'll do#
- Drive overall quality performance and understand the quality interface.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective and preventative action solutions.
- Analyze and interpret data trends.
- Ensure compliance with Raytheon and contract program requirements.
- Interface with suppliers to resolve open issues.
- Review and disposition nonconforming materials.
- Work with customers and the DCMA to ensure resolution of reported issues.
- Review major deliverables to ensure contract compliance before delivery.
- Use analytical and communication skills to support rapid issue closure.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related STEM major).
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
- Experience or education with Quality and Mission Assurance processes and tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Preferred: A 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Preferred: Experience or education in continuous improvement processes like Six Sigma, Lean Methodologies, or the RTX CORE Operating System.
