About the role#
This is a Platform System Engineering Co-op position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role is a full-time, paid, on-site opportunity. U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Determine full system requirements for avionics.
- Create system design documentation, including interface control definitions, hardware interconnect definitions, and human machine interface documentation.
- Develop and execute verification procedures for laboratory testing.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable certification regulations.
- Plan and track engineering work using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and JAMA.
- Collaborate with large, multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to remain enrolled through the completion of the co-op session.
- Previous aviation experience, such as time as a pilot or aircraft maintainer.
- Experience with personal projects involving complex systems.
- Proficiency in technical writing, such as undergraduate research papers.
- Experience in project leadership or communication and coordination roles.

- Salary Range: 37,000 USD to 82,000 USD.
