About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to join the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team at our facility in Longueuil. You will work within a unionized environment alongside EHS advisors, supervisors, production staff, and process specialists to maintain safety standards and support operational excellence.
What you'll do#
- Conduct preventive EHS inspections across various departments.
- Support the execution of annual EHS plan activities.
- Participate in incident investigations and prepare detailed reports.
- Monitor and follow up on corrective actions.
- Perform EHS risk assessments for workstations and job tasks.
- Provide guidance on the application of EHS regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Recommend improvements to work methods to eliminate hazards at the source.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian university throughout the internship.
- Current studies in Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources Management, or Industrial Relations.
- Proficiency in French (spoken and written).
- Functional knowledge of English to read technical documentation and communicate with international colleagues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams).
- Strong analytical and summarization skills.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
Location & details#
- Location: Longueuil, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 5 to April 23, 2027).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday.
- Note: The successful candidate must pass a background check and obtain necessary authorizations for handling controlled goods.
