About the role#
This pharmacy internship provides practical experience for future pharmacists within a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a local store, gaining real-world training that complements your academic studies. The role focuses on understanding the expanding responsibilities of a community pharmacist, including patient interaction and retail pharmacy management.
What you'll do#
- Greet and acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy counter.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including managing customer confidentiality and consent.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Help deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Develop skills in OTC product knowledge, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Improve communication with patients, staff, and other health care workers.

- Enrollment as a future pharmacist in a community pharmacy program.

- Location: 9620 Mccowan Road, Markham, Ontario.
- Employment type: Part-time with flexible shifts.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, based on experience and location.
