About the role#
This position offers practical training for pharmacy students within a community pharmacy setting. You will gain hands-on experience in a retail environment while supporting the daily operations of a locally owned store. The role focuses on patient interaction and the development of professional skills required for a career in pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality and ensure all consent requirements are met.
- Maintain a clear and professional presence for the public.
- Participate in training to improve communication with patients, staff, and healthcare workers.
- Build knowledge regarding OTC products, drug therapy, disease state management, and patient counseling.
- Learn the operational skills needed to manage a retail pharmacy.
