About the role#
This internship is based in the Quality Core Lab, which includes Chemistry, Mechanical Testing, and Metallurgical Testing. You will work on-site during the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time position requiring U.S. citizenship.
What you'll do#
- Interpret testing procedures and specification requirements.
- Perform various testing techniques, including metallographic and mechanical testing.
- Identify and select the proper equipment for testing tasks.
- Interpret technical drawings to support lab operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or advanced degree program in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- You must remain actively enrolled through the completion of the internship.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- A major or minor in Metallurgy or Materials Science is preferred.
- Previous exposure to quality principles and tools is preferred.
- Prior internship, co-op, or work experience with RTX is preferred.
