About the role#
This Industrial Engineering Co-Op position at Raytheon Technologies offers a blend of independent work and team collaboration. You will work alongside manufacturing engineers, production personnel, and management teams. This role is based on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and requires U.S. citizenship. You may occasionally travel to other regional sites in Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Support manufacturing processes by managing equipment, floor layouts, work sequences, and instructions.
- Conduct studies focused on productivity, cost control, inventory management, and production record systems.
- Review products and processes to identify quality, safety, and producibility risks.
- Collaborate with design teams to implement changes that mitigate identified risks.
- Manage projects or processes of moderate size.
- Resolve complex, challenging problems independently.
- Develop tactical plans to address day-to-day operational challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS-level STEM degree program, specifically Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, or a similar engineering field.
- Previous internship or co-op experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with CAD software.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

- Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa (On-site).
- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Employment: Full time, paid position.
- Note: U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
