About the role#
Raytheon Technologies is seeking an Industrial Engineering Co-Op for the New Product Introduction Team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is a full-time, paid position for Winter or Summer 2027. You will work on-site to apply engineering concepts to manufacturing operations. The role requires U.S. citizenship.
What you'll do#
- Support manufacturing processes, including equipment, floor layouts, work sequences, and workflow.
- Conduct studies on productivity, cost control, inventory, and production record systems.
- Review products and processes for quality, safety, and producibility risks.
- Collaborate with design teams to address and eliminate identified risks.
- Manage moderately sized projects or processes.
- Solve complex problems independently and develop tactical plans for day-to-day operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Industrial Engineering or a related STEM field.
- Active enrollment status through the completion of the co-op term.
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis and CAD software is preferred.
- A track record of driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operations is preferred.
