About the role#
As a Quality Intern, you will support the Supplier Quality team by reviewing engineering drawings across multiple product models. You will identify inconsistencies in dimensions, specifications, notes, and material requirements. This role offers practical experience with drawing standardization and helps you understand how accurate documentation affects production, costs, and supplier performance.
What you'll do#
- Review engineering drawings for accuracy and consistency.
- Identify discrepancies in dimensions, specifications, notes, and material requirements.
- Document findings in a drawing-discrepancy log.
- Prepare, submit, and track Quality Improvement Requests (QIRs).
- Compile supporting documentation for drawing and process-related issues.
- Support initiatives to improve drawing standardization and prevent recurring quality concerns.
- Analyze how documentation inconsistencies contribute to quality issues, production delays, and increased costs.
- Prepare a summary report of findings and recommendations.
- Deliver a final presentation on key improvements and their business impact.
- Complete other quality-related projects based on business needs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited bachelor's degree program for Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Interest in supplier quality, manufacturing, engineering documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to read or develop proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, dimensions, specifications, and material requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Location: Greencastle, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full time, paid internship.
