About the role#
Amrize is seeking a Health & Safety Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a 10-week, paid position based at the Devil's Slide Cement Plant in Morgan, Utah. You will work on-site, Monday through Friday, for 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Ensure plant personnel and contractors follow safe operating procedures.
- Revitalize, update, and relaunch current safety programs.
- Interact with employees in the field daily.
- Fine-tune safety procedures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Inspect field equipment, troubleshoot issues, and provide documentation and reporting.
- Identify and report field problems as they arise.
- Manage specific projects from start to finish.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, database systems, and analytics.
- Willingness to spend significant time working in the field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong relationship-building skills and attention to detail.
- A record of teamwork, adaptability, initiative, and integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Location: Morgan, Utah.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Transportation: You are responsible for your own transportation to the worksite.
- Travel: You may be required to travel for site tours, shadowing, or intern events.
