About the role#
Amrize is hiring an Electrical Engineering Co-Op Student for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Bath, Ontario, supporting the Project Manager across all phases of project development, planning, and execution. This position involves regular field inspections to understand plant electrical and automation requirements.
What you'll do#
- Manage, organize, and maintain technical documentation like drawings, data sheets, and construction files.
- Conduct field inspections to learn plant electrical and automation systems.
- Oversee contractors during project execution to ensure work is safe and efficient.
- Troubleshoot recurring or complex failures using root cause analysis and analytical methods.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to establish project scopes.
- Partner with procurement to handle RFQs and contractor bids.
- Assist with project commissioning and final hand-off to the production team.
- Update equipment files and SAP bills of material when you find discrepancies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or a related program at an accredited university.
- Previous co-op or entry-level work experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP PRD.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is an asset.
- Ability to pass qualitative and quantitative respirator fit tests, which requires being clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face.
