About the role#
Amrize is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a 10-week, paid, full-time internship based at our cement plant in Whitehall, Pennsylvania. You will work alongside experienced engineers to gain practical experience in cement production and plant operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Support the troubleshooting and repair of electrical issues, such as motors and control systems.
- Participate in the development and execution of preventive maintenance plans.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols and procedures.
- Apply your engineering skills to daily operations and collaborate with team members.
- Present your project learnings and contributions to the executive leadership team at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong academic performance and a solid understanding of engineering principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- A proactive approach to new challenges and a high level of energy.
- Ability to work as a team player across different levels of the organization.
- Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
- Willingness to spend significant time in the field.
Location & details#
- Location: Whitehall, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Environment: The role is based in a cement manufacturing plant with exposure to moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, and varying weather conditions.
- Requirements: You are responsible for your own transportation to the site. Travel may be required for site tours, shadowing, or intern events.
