About the role#
This Industrial Engineering Co-Op position is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You will work on-site, collaborating with manufacturing engineers, production teams, and management. This role requires U.S. citizenship. You will balance independent project work with team-based problem solving to support our operational goals.
What you'll do#
- Support manufacturing processes, including floor layouts, work sequences, equipment, and workflows.
- Conduct studies focused on productivity, cost control, inventory management, and production record systems.
- Review products and processes to identify risks related to quality, safety, and producibility.
- Work with design teams to implement changes that reduce risk.
- Manage specific projects or processes independently.
- Create tactical plans to resolve day-to-day operational challenges.
- Travel occasionally to local regional sites in Iowa as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS-level STEM degree program, specifically in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to work on-site in Cedar Rapids for the Summer or Fall 2027 terms.
- Previous manufacturing internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD software is preferred.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis or driving continuous improvement in manufacturing is preferred.
