About the role#
Raytheon Technologies is seeking an Industrial Engineering Co-op for a full-time, on-site role in Melbourne, Florida. This position is open for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. You will work within a cross-functional team to apply manufacturing concepts and analysis tools to improve production operations. This is a paid position requiring U.S. Person status.
What you'll do#
- Improve operator productivity by refining manufacturing processes.
- Design tooling to support manufacturing workflows.
- Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, including 5S, waste reduction, and flow improvements.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Plan and design layouts for manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Develop standard work for production areas.
- Resolve day-to-day production issues.
- Utilize Six Sigma tools to drive operational improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with CAD software, specifically SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
