    About the role#

    This is a full-time co-op position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role runs from Summer 2027 through Fall 2027. You will work on-site, Monday through Friday, and it is expected that you take a semester off from coursework to focus on this mentorship opportunity. This is a paid position for a U.S. Person.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with engineers to develop displays for commercial and military avionics.
    • Apply problem-solving skills to hands-on engineering challenges.
    • Create or implement changes to product designs and development processes.
    • Learn about display and optical technologies, industry standards, and engineering best practices.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
    • Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the co-op.
    • Experience working on collaborative projects and teams.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
    • Ability to read hardware schematics and mechanical drawings.
    • Experience with C++ or Python.
    • Knowledge of optics and optical measurements.
    • Familiarity with model-based engineering.
    • Prior internship or work experience.
