About the role#
The Data Recording Operations team supports engine instrumentation and test facility readiness for development and production testing. This internship involves technical tasks related to engine testing and instrumentation measurement systems. You will work on-site in Middletown, Connecticut, as a full-time intern. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to contract requirements.
What you'll do#
- Set up test facilities and instrumentation measurement systems to support engine testing.
- Consult and coordinate with engineering and customer groups to establish project requirements.
- Troubleshoot and calibrate devices in the lab or test facility.
- Operate data acquisition systems during validation testing.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree program in Mechanical, Computer, or Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM major.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, including thermocouples, pressure transducers, load cells, voltage meters, and flow meters.
- Understanding of data acquisition systems, electronics, data analysis, thermodynamics, fluids, and jet engine performance.
- Experience with testing, verification, and working on cross-functional teams.
