About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in East Hartford, Connecticut. You will join the Commercial Engines Engineering team, specifically focusing on the PW1500G/PW1900G (24K) Customer Technical Service group. The role centers on Mechanical Systems and Nacelle hardware, where you will help manage technical issues to ensure engine safety and operational efficiency. This position requires you to work on-site.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical data, including the creation of engine maintenance documents, special instructions, and service bulletins.
- Collaborate with a global network, including commercial airline operators, MRO shops, P&W field service representatives, suppliers, and airframe companies.
- Support critical operations by responding to customer technical questions to keep fleets flying and maintain shop throughput.
- Coordinate with industry experts, such as the Program Office, Customer Fleet Directors, Component Integrated Product Teams, and regulatory authorities, to implement fleet management solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Active enrollment status through the completion of the internship.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Prior internship, co-op, or work experience at RTX is preferred.
