About the role#
This Systems Engineering Co-Op position focuses on the CH-53K program. You will work on AMS cockpit avionics and gain experience across the full lifecycle of systems engineering, from initial requirements capture to supporting fielded products. This is a full-time, paid opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Learn requirements capture and peer review processes for cockpit avionics.
- Decompose and allocate requirements to specific domains within Collins Aerospace.
- Create test procedures to verify system requirements.
- Execute requirements-based, robustness, and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment.
- Work within an Agile development team alongside professional engineers.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related STEM field.
- Ability to remain enrolled through the completion of the co-op session.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this program.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is preferred.
- Basic experience with DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, and ALM tool suites is preferred.
- Foundational knowledge of requirements capture, configuration management, or integration and validation testing is a plus.
