About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to join the industrial hygiene team at our facility in Longueuil. You will work on-site from January 5th to April 23rd, 2027, with a schedule of Monday through Friday and flexible hours. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Complete qualitative industrial hygiene assessments.
- Conduct factory interventions to perform risk analyses in industrial hygiene and ergonomics.
- Sample physical and chemical contaminants, including noise, dust, solvents, and electromagnetic fields.
- Revise and develop personal protective equipment sheets.
- Carry out audits for programs such as respiratory protection.
- Support the health and safety team with the industrial hygiene program.
- Collaborate with the environment, ergonomics, and wastewater treatment teams on specific projects.
- Participate in organizing a health, safety, and industrial hygiene awareness day.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian university or CEGEP throughout the internship.
- Progress toward a diploma in industrial hygiene or related studies in environment, health, or safety.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Good technical knowledge and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in French, with a working knowledge of English to handle technical documentation and international communications.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and demonstrate a strong sense of observation.
- Capacity to learn computer management systems and work effectively in a team.
- Experience or ability to work in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
