About the role#
As a Summer Intern in Leveraged Lending, you will support the team with analytical, transaction, and marketing tasks. You will work alongside Analysts, Associates, and senior bankers to learn how leveraged financing opportunities are evaluated, structured, and closed. This program offers hands-on exposure to financial analysis, risk assessment, and transaction execution while helping you build your foundation in leveraged finance.
What you'll do#
- Support the underwriting, approval, and closing of leveraged lending transactions.
- Build and review financial models to evaluate company performance, transaction structure, and repayment capacity.
- Research companies, industries, and market trends to support credit and business development analysis.
- Assist with risk assessment, valuation analysis, and preparation of transaction materials.
- Collaborate with deal teams and product partners on live transactions and client opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current junior pursuing an undergraduate degree in finance or a related field, or a student pursuing a master’s degree in finance or a related discipline.
- Strong academic performance and familiarity with finance.
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and reporting.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and conversation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and engage with multiple stakeholders.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
