About the role#
As a WBNA Summer Intern, you will join the Middle Office team to gain practical experience in Wholesale Banking. You will focus on organizing, analyzing, and reporting financial and operational data that supports the portfolio and transaction management. This internship provides exposure to how the Middle Office supports clients, operational controls, and informed decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Organize, clean, and validate data from internal reports and transaction tracking tools.
- Support recurring transaction, portfolio, and operational reporting, including basic P&L review.
- Reconcile reports and tracking tools, investigate discrepancies, and flag potential variances or unusual trends.
- Prepare dashboards, charts, presentations, and management information.
- Contribute to ad hoc analysis, reporting improvements, process documentation, data quality, and workflow efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Data Science.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret, validate, and summarize data accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Experience with or willingness to learn Power BI, PowerPoint, Word, and other reporting tools.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Curiosity, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
