About the role#
This is a temporary Student Intern position for a Community Health Worker at Providence Mother Joseph Plaza. You will serve as a liaison between the community and health or social service systems. This is a part-time, per diem role based in Portland, Oregon.
What you'll do#
- Act as a bridge between the community and various health and social service systems.
- Use your knowledge of local resources to connect with patients, healthcare providers, and community partners.
- Build trusting relationships with community members and organizations to support patient care.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 80 hours of training as a Community Health Worker, approved by the Oregon Health CHW Training curriculums.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant community experience.
- This role is open to students in fields such as Public Health, Sociology, Psychology, or other related areas.
