About the role#
As a Student Nurse Tech-PCT in the Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit, you work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide direct care to patients and their families. You contribute to the provision of high-quality health care while ensuring patient information remains confidential and using safe patient handling techniques. You will communicate regularly with the RN regarding patient status and activities performed.
What you'll do#
- Provide total hygiene care, including bathing and skin care.
- Assist patients with ambulation and transport.
- Help patients with feeding and record their intake.
- Respond to call lights and requests from patients or families.
- Document vital signs and inform the nurse of any status changes.
- Perform point of care testing as trained and delegated.
- Provide non-pharmacological pain management measures.
- Stock supplies and help maintain a clean patient environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
- Completion of Nursing Fundamentals coursework, verified by transcript.
- AHA Healthcare Providers BLS Certification, either prior to hire or completed during orientation.

- This position is located in Greenville, South Carolina, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
- This is a part-time, on-site role with a variable work shift.
