About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You will work on-site as part of a team developing avionics system solutions. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position, as you must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with systems, software, integration, and test engineers to deliver avionics systems.
- Support the development, analysis, and refinement of system requirements and interfaces.
- Participate in technical reviews of designs, requirements, and test procedures.
- Incorporate feedback into your work and communicate technical status, issues, and solutions to your team and mentors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Systems, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer, or Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Data Science.
- Coursework or project experience in embedded systems, software development, aerospace, or controls.
- Exposure to requirements development, verification, testing, or model-based engineering.
- Experience with team-based technical projects, including troubleshooting, design reviews, or test execution.
