About the role#
This position is a full-time internship with the potential for conversion to an Engineer I role. It is an on-site position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
What you'll do#
- Develop control algorithms and signal processing for flight control systems, including flight guidance, autothrottle, and attitude control systems.
- Define and review functional and interface requirements for flight control systems.
- Create models and simulation tools for closed loop systems to assess performance.
- Conduct system verification and validation of control algorithms and system requirements.
- Participate in development and certification flight tests onboard aircraft.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- Experience with Matlab and Simulink.
- Understanding of control systems theory.
- General knowledge of aviation and flight control systems.
