About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site internship position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with the potential for conversion to an Engineer I role. U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Develop control algorithms and signal processing for flight control systems, including flight guidance, autothrottle, and attitude control.
- Define and review functional and interface system requirements.
- Create models and simulation tools for closed-loop systems to assess performance.
- Perform system verification and validation of control algorithms and requirements.
- Participate in development and certification flight tests on board aircraft.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's or advanced degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- Experience with Matlab and Simulink.
- A foundational understanding of control systems theory.
- General knowledge of aviation and flight control systems.
