About the role#
This Systems Engineering internship is based in Melbourne, Florida. You will join the Aeronautics Systems Sector to develop skills across various specializations, such as Model-Based Systems Engineering, requirements engineering, modeling and simulation, and systems architecture. This is a full-time, paid summer position.
What you'll do#
- Perform systems engineering tasks throughout the product lifecycle, covering concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Coordinate with software, hardware, test, and quality teams to integrate engineering efforts.
- Learn to assemble, integrate, and verify system elements from lower levels up to the complete system.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited institution, with a graduation date after August 2027.
- Major in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- An active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher is required.
- Preferred: A cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, previous internship experience, and experience with full lifecycle engineering projects.
