About the role#
This position is for a returning intern to join the Processing, Guidance & Control Center within the Systems Engineering Directorate. You will work on-site in Tucson, Arizona, during the Summer 2027 term. This role focuses on the design, development, and testing of algorithms for Electro-Optical/Infrared or Radio Frequency systems.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop and refine signal processing algorithms.
- Support the design, development, and use of high-fidelity digital simulation software.
- Analyze trade-study data to provide insights on missile system design and performance.
- Present findings to internal stakeholders.
- Work in a team environment, receiving inputs from program experts to develop technical solutions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- Must be at Junior or Senior standing by the start of Summer 2027.
- Completed or currently enrolled in at least one class in Signal Processing or Image Processing.
- Experience programming in C++.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
