About the role#
The Boating Intelligence Design Lab is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our team in Champaign. This role focuses on full-stack development, including work on backend systems, web and mobile applications, databases, and cloud deployments. You will work in an R&D environment, contributing to projects that impact the recreational boating industry.
What you'll do#
- Quickly understand problem statements and formulate possible solutions.
- Work with teams that develop and deploy software solutions.
- Write and maintain code for active projects.
- Collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
- Adapt to changing project needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS program for Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
- Experience with software development and tools like git.
- Demonstrated interest through work or side projects related to software engineering.
- Experience with developing full-stack applications.
- An interest in learning new tools.
Location & details#
- Location: Champaign, Illinois.
- Work Modality: This is an on-site position.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: Paid position with a pay range of $18.00 to $27.00 per hour.
- Status: This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
