About the role#
We are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role supports the development of Navico Group trolling motors, focusing on the Lowrance and Simrad brands. You will work alongside experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience in a professional manufacturing environment during the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Support software development for trolling motors, including concept and design work.
- Analyze performance data and conduct on-water product testing.
- Use software development tools to resolve bugs reported through Jira.
- Perform minor modifications to existing hardware or new prototype hardware.
- Collaborate as an active team member within our global software group.
- Learn to develop algorithms in C++ and understand network communication protocols like CAN bus and N2K.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an engineering degree program with at least 80 credits completed.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong C/C++ development and debugging skills.
- Experience with embedded development.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
