About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will work alongside engineering professionals to support the design, production, and manufacturing of products within the recreational boating industry. You will manage assigned projects from start to finish while contributing to a team focused on delivering high-quality results.
What you'll do#
- Support the mechanical design of various systems and components.
- Assist with validation test plans and testing procedures.
- Complete time studies and assist with process improvements and labor balancing.
- Utilize CAD software and SolidWorks for design tasks.
- Contribute to problem solving, cost reduction, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to find solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS program for Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Minimum second semester sophomore status with at least 48 completed credits.
- Ability to work full-time (40 or more hours per week).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and creative problem-solving skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
