About the role#
As a Data Analytics Co-Op with the Customer Experience team at Mercury Marine, you will support data engineering, analytics, and research initiatives. This role provides exposure to the full data lifecycle, from building pipelines to uncovering insights in telemetric datasets. You will work alongside experienced professionals to apply your academic knowledge to real-world business challenges.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain data processing and enrichment pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Synapse.
- Explore and analyze telemetric datasets to discover actionable insights for engineering, manufacturing, and customer experience teams.
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests to support day-to-day business decisions.
- Apply statistical methods and research techniques to solve analytical problems.
- Present findings and recommendations to team members and stakeholders through reports and presentations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the final year of an undergraduate or graduate program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Foundational skills in statistics, programming, database querying, and data visualization.
- Exposure to AI concepts such as building agents, prompt engineering, or machine learning workflows.
- Eagerness to deepen expertise through hands-on project work.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, or similar cloud data platforms is preferred.
- Coursework or projects involving time-series, IoT, or telemetric data is preferred.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences is preferred.
- Experience building or maintaining agentic AI workflows is preferred.

- Compensation: Paid position, with an hourly rate range of $18.00 to $27.50 based on qualifications and experience.
