About the role#
As a UX/UI Design Intern at Mercury Marine, you will join a team of industrial designers and usability professionals. You will contribute to the development of helm to stern experiences for both on and off boat applications. This role focuses on translating user research and design concepts into functional, intuitive products.
What you'll do#
- Execute functional designs that prioritize usability and market success.
- Improve the intuitiveness of our marine products.
- Assist with rapid, lo-fidelity prototyping to test new ideas.
- Conduct user research to better understand the customer experience.
- Act as a liaison across different areas of the organization to drive design execution.
- Frame and communicate compelling user stories through your design work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors degree program for Graphic Design, UX/UI, or a related field.
- At least second semester sophomore standing with a minimum of 48 completed credits.
- Experience with User Interface design and Human Computer Interaction.
- Proficiency in Figma and Sketch UI design software.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to provide clear and actionable design critiques.

- Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
- Term: Summer 2027 (Full-time, 40 hours per week).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $18.00 - $27.50 per hour.
