About the role#
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support research and development activities at the Brunswick Boat Group Technology Center in Edgewater, Florida. This role provides hands-on experience in the marine industry, allowing you to apply classroom theory to real-world engineering projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals on tasks that contribute to our product development goals.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in the development and execution of new product ideas into manufacturable designs.
- Create 2D drawings and 3D solid or surface models for new products.
- Help develop mechanical components, plumbing, fuel, water, and propulsion systems.
- Support target schedules and project availability goals.
- Perform technical evaluations, testing, and generate reports.
- Assist with integration, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for manufacturing.
- Generate documentation, including construction drawings and process work instructions.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve technical design issues.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- Completion of at least 2 years of schooling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD).
- 3D modeling skills.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Location: Edgewater, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2026 (May to August).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: Paid position ($18.00 - $27.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications).
