About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Lenexa, Kansas. Please note that the company does not offer immigration sponsorship for this role, and you must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems.
- Collaborate with engineers to create detailed technical drawings and specifications using CAD software.
- Conduct research and data analysis to support engineering projects.
- Participate in prototyping and testing, including the preparation of test setups and the execution of tests.
- Work with international teams across the Netherlands, India, and the Philippines.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM major.
- You must be actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
- A minimum of 60 hours of credit is required by the start of the session.
- Experience with CAD software, engineering analysis tools, and mechanical hardware documentation is preferred.
