About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring an Intern for Systems Engineering. This role is based in Woburn, Massachusetts. You will work on-site and support radar system software integration and testing. This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
What you'll do#
- Support integration and test planning, including the execution of verification and validation events.
- Integrate and test radar system software builds within a String/HWIL facility.
- Perform scenario-based analysis to identify and resolve technical observations.
- Collaborate with cross-program leads and stakeholders to generate test approaches and ensure test-setup readiness.
- Confirm that test and evaluation processes follow established procedures and comply with Department of Defense technology release and export licensing policies.
- Execute integration plans and testing activities according to defined milestones.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Perl, or MATLAB.
- Familiarity with Linux and Unix environments.
- Knowledge of integration test procedures, test plans, and test scripts is preferred.
- Experience with String/HWIL test equipment and radio frequency (RF) electronic hardware is a plus.
- Ability to travel for up to 10% of the time.
