About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as part of the Systems USCG team. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position as it involves access to specific program information.
What you'll do#
- Learn requirements capture and peer review processes for cockpit avionics related to USCG programs.
- Decompose and allocate requirements to the appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace.
- Create test procedures to verify requirements.
- Execute requirements-based testing, robustness testing, and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment.
- Collaborate with a team of professional engineers using Agile development methods.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or advanced degree program in a STEM major, such as Aerospace, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Basic experience with DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, and the ALM tool suite.
- Basic experience in an aerospace-related engineering development environment.
