About the role#
As an Intern Systems Engineer, you will join the Strategic Defense Solutions team to work on tactical communication solutions. You will collaborate with mentors and engineering experts to deliver security-hardened products for air and ground military platforms. This role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
What you'll do#
- Work within a cross-functional agile team to develop communication systems.
- Coordinate with a mentor to apply established engineering processes.
- Create, decompose, and trace system requirements.
- Use model-based systems engineering applications to build logical and physical design diagrams.
- Perform integration and testing for communication solutions.
- Assist with future bids and proposals to support new business opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
- Experience with systems engineering, including capturing customer requirements.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools like Magic Draw Cameo.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Familiarity with RTX systems, processes, and tools.
