About the role#
This internship provides practical work experience within the Risk Management department at PPL Corporation. You will gain exposure to a corporate environment while supporting treasury and accounting functions. The role is designed to help you build professional skills and explore career interests in the utility industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with corporate credit reviews for Kentucky, Rhode Island Energy, and Pennsylvania operations.
- Compile and organize data for various reports.
- Help with compliance reporting related to financial rules and regulations.
- Maintain documentation and update internal procedures.
- Perform other tasks as directed by your manager.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- A basic understanding of financial and accounting theory and principles.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with PowerPoint and Word is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Louisville, Kentucky.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Schedule: This is a rolling term position. During the spring and fall semesters, the role is part-time at approximately 20 hours per week. During the summer, the role may be part-time or full-time at 40 hours per week. The company provides flexibility for part-time schedules between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday, to accommodate your classes.
